The Loan section is the first contact point with the library, where the visitor is guided regarding the use of the library’s funds and of the database. Registration and loans for adult users are also managed here.

Adult readers can borrow from a fund of approximately 86 000 documents, all on shelves, from the following areas of interest:

• fiction and non-fiction

• professional books from different domains

• classical literature and professional literature in German, French, English and Italian - from the special fund „Marco Botta”

• audiobooks

• CDs, DVDs

The facilities of the section:

• loan and renewal of diverse publications

• the administration of reservations and handing reserved documents

• professional consultancy, at the readers’ request, preparation of thematic bibliographies

• popularizing lecture activities

• organizing diverse events regarding celebrations and cultural anniversaries.
