Terms and Conditions for using the Library
Library users enjoy the following basic services for free:
- visiting the public premises of the library
- consultation of the library's fund in the online catalogue
- access to information about the library and its services
Registration
People who need to borrow books from the library must be registered.
Documents necessary for registration: ID, for children younger than 14: ID or a copy of the ID of one of the parents or of the tutor.
Registration can only be done personally (except children younger than 14). The library card can only be used by the person who owns it. The library card of children younger than 14 can be used also by their parents. Library users of age or with chronic illness are able to authorise another registered user of the library to borrow documents for them by filling out a form.
The following data is recorded at registration: name, date of birth, personal identification number, the series and number of the ID or passport, personal address. With statistical purposes we ask the educational attainment and the profession of the user. With the permission of the user, the following data is being logged: phone number, e-mail address, and in the case of students - the name of the school, grade, form teacher's name.
Every user will need to sign a contract through which they take responsibility for the borrowed documents and agree with the regulations regarding the use of library (based on the Law of Libraries no. 334/2002, modified and updated in December, 2004). The contract will be filled in and signed by one of the parents or the legal tutor in the case of children younger than 14.
The library will be notified about changes in personal information by library users in three months' time from the date of change.
The library card is issued for a period of five years and is renewed every year. The user’s ID card is necessary for the yearly validation. After the expiration of the five year period, the library card will be replaced. In the event of losing the card, a fee of 4 lei will have to be paid for reissuing the card.
The library card entitles the library user to visit all the public compartments of the library, including its branch, which is located on Strada Sporturilor in Sfântu Gheorghe.
Registration fees
Annual registration fee: 3 lei
Concession registration fee (for children, students, unemployed, pensioners): 2 lei
Registration is free for employees of cultural institutions and librarians.
*The Bod Péter County Library agrees that the managed personal data is kept confidential, and under no circumstances is disclosed to a third party, in accordance with the Directive no. 677/2011. The library’s authorization number referential to the management of personal data is 18 915/2011.
